Memorial Day falls on the last Monday in May. The next one is May 31, 2027. If you are planning a summer proposal or wedding, May is a useful time to compare rings and check how long your chosen piece will take to make.

Match the diamond shape, carat weight, color, clarity and grading report. For earrings, compare total diamond weight for the pair; for a pendant, include the chain. Our diamond price guides help put loose-stone prices in context.
Work backwards from the day you need the ring. Choosing a loose diamond, making the setting and resizing can take longer than a holiday weekend. Ask for the arrival estimate for your exact order before paying.

Studs and simple pendants can work well as everyday gifts. Look at the recipient's usual metal and jewelry size, and check whether a chain or particular backing is included. A higher total carat weight is not automatically a better gift.
If you buy early, check when the return window begins and whether the recipient will still have time to try the piece. Final-sale jewelry is a poor fit when you are uncertain about style or sizing.
