LabGrownCarats is operated by Rockstar Marketing Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202609787W), trading as Raspberry Penguins, a company registered in Singapore. Our business address is 133 New Bridge Road, #08-01 Chinatown Point, Singapore 059413.
This policy explains the information used to operate the site, answer enquiries, manage subscriptions and comments, and understand which content is useful. We use and share personal information for the purposes described here, or as required by law. Visiting the site does not by itself grant permission for optional tracking.
Information collection and use
If you email us, we receive your email address, the message and any information you choose to include. We use that information to respond and handle your request.
Newsletter signups and article comments collect the information described in their sections below. You do not need to subscribe or comment to read our guides and reviews.
Log data
Our hosting and security services may process your network address, browser and device information, pages requested, timestamps and error information to serve the site and protect it from abuse. Analytics and cookie choices are explained below.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Essential cookies support site functions and remember your privacy choice. Optional analytics and affiliate tracking depend on the choice you make in the cookie controls. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser, although doing so may affect some functions.
The analytics section below explains Google Consent Mode and your choices.
Affiliate links
When you follow a retailer link, we may record the retailer, referring page, link placement and a referral identifier to understand clicks and attributed sales. We do not put your email address in affiliate links. Retailers and affiliate networks may process their own referral and purchase information under their privacy policies.
Service providers
We use service providers to host and secure the site, deliver emails, process subscriptions and comments, and provide analytics. They process information for those services. Brevo delivers our newsletter and subscription messages; the newsletter section below explains the information involved.
Some providers may process information outside Singapore. Their roles, security and applicable contractual and legal requirements form part of how we handle that processing. We do not claim that all processing takes place in Singapore.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No internet transmission or electronic storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to other sites
Retailer and source links take you to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and controls, which you should read before sharing information or buying. We do not control their practices.
Children's privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Compliance with laws
We may disclose information when required by law, a court order or another lawful request.
You can contact us to ask about personal information we hold, request a correction, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using its unsubscribe link. A request to delete information may be subject to legal requirements and the need to retain minimal suppression or security records.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy and will post the revised version here. The update date shows when it changed. A change to this policy does not replace any consent required for a new optional use of personal information.
Contact us
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or a concern about how information is handled, email [email protected]. Please include enough detail for us to find and respond to your request without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Analytics and cookie choices
We use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode to understand which pages are useful and how the site performs. Before you make a cookie choice, analytics storage is denied. Google may receive cookieless measurement signals such as the page visited, time, browser and device information, but Google Analytics cookies and persistent analytics identifiers are not used.
If you choose “Allow optional tracking,” analytics storage is granted and Google Analytics may use cookies to measure visits and navigation more accurately. Advertising storage, ad personalization and Google Signals remain disabled. If you choose “Essential only,” analytics storage remains denied.
Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie for up to one year. You can clear the cookie in your browser to make a new choice. We use aggregate analytics to improve our articles and tools; we do not put your email address in analytics or affiliate links.
Email newsletter
If you join the LabGrownCarats newsletter, we collect your email address, the signup source, the time of your request and confirmation, and a privacy-preserving fingerprint used to limit automated abuse. We use this information only to manage your subscription and send the deals, price updates, and buying advice you asked to receive.
We use Brevo to deliver and monitor these emails. Brevo may process delivery information such as successful delivery, bounces, complaints, blocked messages, and unsubscribes on our behalf. We do not put your email address in analytics or affiliate tracking links.
Signup uses double opt-in: you are not subscribed until you confirm through the email we send. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. We keep suppression records when someone unsubscribes, complains, or an address cannot receive mail so that we do not add or email that address again by mistake.
You can ask us to correct or delete your newsletter information by using our contact page. Legal obligations and the need to honor an unsubscribe or complaint may require us to retain a minimal suppression record.
Article comments
If you submit a comment, we collect the name, email address and comment you provide. Your name and approved comment may be published; your email address is used for moderation and abuse prevention and is never displayed publicly.
We also create a one-way, privacy-preserving fingerprint from your network address to limit repeated automated submissions. We do not store that address with the comment. Comments are reviewed before publication, and spam or abusive submissions may be retained as moderation records so they are not accidentally approved later.
You can ask us to correct or remove your comment or its associated personal information through our contact page.
